SeniorSynCare was founded out of a personal experience: one co-founder, caring for their grandmother in her final days, recognized the need for better care coordination. Together with their partner, they developed an app that streamlined community care, offering a centralized view of the senior’s needs and schedule. Recognizing its potential, they decided to share the app with the public. Together with Wabala Studio, SSC sought a complete brand and website redesign to enhance their visual identity and user experience.

Process

To establish a visual direction, I created stylescapes that reflected the client's vision and aesthetic preferences. Their existing logo, featuring three hearts symbolizing the company, caregivers, and seniors, was reimagined into a more refined concept. I designed a dual-meaning symbol—a heart and two swans—using two letter S’s, one reversed, to represent swans facing each other. This not only kept the heart symbolism but also introduced the 'swan song' metaphor, a nod to the ancient belief that swans burst into beautiful song before their passing.

For the color palette, I honored the client's desire to retain the purple and the sentimental connection to her grandmother's favorite color blue. Overall, they wanted a look and feel that was minimal and clear. Collaborating with Wabala Studio, I used mockups and brand presentations to effectively communicate and present design concepts, as I was not directly interfacing with the client. This process ensured the brand’s evolution was both thoughtful and aligned with their core values.
